Candidates for Municipal Office are required to submit campaign disclosure forms in accordance with the Office of Campaign and Political Finance of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In general, candidates in town elections file two campaign finance reports for any election:
Pre-Election Report due on or before the 8th day preceding the town's general election.
Year-End Report due on or before January 20 in the year following, complete from the day following the ending date of the last report filed through December 31. This year-end report must be filed every year a committee is in existence, a candidate maintains a campaign fund, has outstanding debts or is an incumbent elected official.
