Community Development Block Grant


The Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program, managed by TRI-The Resource Inc. has been created as a “Moderate Housing Rehabilitation Program” whose grant priorities are to: (1) Address health and safety repairs in year-round single-family, owner-occupied properties. (2) Increase and maintain the supply of affordable year-round housing for residents.

This program can help pay for up to $50,000 of repairs per owner-occupied home or qualified rental unit. The funding is provided by the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development and will provide a 0% interest, deferred, forgivable loan to make critical repairs to your home. The program is designed to improve the housing conditions of income-qualified households.

This program is run by TRI The Resource Inc. TRI is a non-profit corporation founded in response to a consortium of town and private sector representatives who wished to more actively and innovatively impact housing and economic development in Southeastern and Western Massachusetts, Cape Cod, and Martha's Vineyard.
